The story started from the antithesis of sheep vs wolf, wool vs latex, industrial vs rural, mass production vs handmade. Opposites attract and we wanted to take this further in a tactile sense. The model had to be featureless, covered by a latex mask, our faceless queen expressed herself in her own pastoral world, a stage in a stage setup that told more than one story at a time.
The videos bring everything to life, a battle of contrasts : the industrial cold surroundings and the warm detailed scenery, wool stretched over latex in a rhythmic introspective dance, the wolf a constant reminder of danger, and the music, specifically composed, a classical piece with a hint of playfulness.
